What To Expect

Punta Cana
After an early pick up from your hotel in Punta Cana (from 6:00 till 7:00 am depending on the hotel) and a convenient stop in a meeting point to organize the transportation, you’ll move on a brand-new bus to the small village of Las Canitas, close to Sabana de la Mar. The ride takes around 1.5 hours and on the way, enjoy great views of the Dominican countryside and the East Coast while the guide gives information about the life and local customs of the Dominicans.

Sabana de la Mar
After reaching the village of Las Canitas, in proximity of Sabana de la Mar, you will be welcomed by the local people and have the chance to relax, eat something, use the toilet, etc.

Samana Bay
Then let the adventure begin! It’s time to get on board the boat to ride through the beautiful Samana Bay, home for few months per year of the Humpback Whales, until reaching the small town of Samana, called Santa Barbara. The boat ride takes around 1 hour.

El Salto del Limon
From the dock, we'll get on a truck and make our way to the most magnificent waterfall in the country, El Salto de Limon (Limon Waterfall)! We’ll reach a ranch located in the mountain and be taken into the tropical forest, for a short horseback riding tour along the River Arroyo Chico. The dense vegetation will captivate your senses and leave you with a real taste of adventure. Ultimately, the trail leads to the picturesque Limon Waterfall: an impressive 170 foot drop of fresh water, right in the middle of the jungle. Splash yourself in the refreshing waters of the lagoons at the base of the waterfall. And don’t forget to take the perfect picture of your family and yourself in this memorable place!

Cayo Levantado
At this time of the day you’ll probably start getting hungry. It’s lunch time! Climb again into the open air truck and head down to the dock to take a short boat trip to the gorgeous Cayo Levantado, also known as “Bacardi Island”. Here fill your belly with a delicious traditional Dominican lunch complete with rice, beans, meat, salad, fresh fruit and coffee to finish with. Drinks are included too! Take advantage of the open bar with rum, soft drinks and water. While the morning has been dedicated to the adventure, the afternoon will be focused on relaxing. Once on the island, prepare to experience the white sandy beaches and the warm turquoise water of this unique and relaxing place.
